pixiv is holding the pixiv Monthly International Illustration Awards (pixivMILA).
The pixiv Monthly International Illustration Awards (official abbreviation: pixivMILA) is an event where creators from around the globe post original illustrations to pixiv and outstanding works are selected and awarded each month. The goal is to discover talented creators worldwide, promote their original works, and support their future endeavors.
This event offers anyone, even those who have just started drawing, a chance to win an award and be invited to participate in projects and events by pixiv. The prize money is intended to support new creative activities and future projects.
With over 100 million users, posting your work on pixiv can significantly increase its visibility. So why not seize this chance and share your artwork with the community?

Event period:
This event is held monthly, from the first to the last day of each month. pixivMILA is open to artworks posted by people who reside outside Japan with their pixiv language settings in English, Korean, Simplified Chinese, or Traditional Chinese. Outstanding works will be selected and awarded each month. *These details are subject to change without notice.
The first announcement of results is scheduled to be released at the end of March 2024. (This will include submissions from February)
What can I post?
Any original illustration that was created by you, meeting the following format and criteria:
Format: JPEG / GIF / PNG, each file up to 32MB.
Criteria:
*Your entry should be an original work not previously published as a commercial piece on websites, in games, art collections, or already commercialized in other forms. It should not be a winning entry in another contest (including rewards) or made upon request by a third party.
*The entry should be posted to pixiv during the month of the contest (between the 1st and the last day of the month).
*The entry should be posted as an "Illustration" through pixiv's posting page.
*The entry should be marked as an "Original work".
*The entry should not be fan art of specific content.
*The entry should not contain sexual expressions, extremely grotesque or violent imagery, and must be suitable for all ages (From the posting page set "Visible to: All ages").
*The entry should not be primarily or wholly generated by AI or use AI-generated images, and should not be labeled as an "AI-generated work".
*The entry should be set to "Public" (From the posting page set "Open to: Public").
Prizes:
First Prize (1 winner)
Prize: 50,000 JPY (approx. 330 USD) via PayPal
Opportunity for product sales in Japan
Featured on pixiv's official social media accounts (X, Facebook, Instagram)
Invitation to participate in pixiv-related projects, support for using pixiv-related services, etc.
Award of Excellence: Multiple winners (per language setting)
Prize: 15,000 JPY (approx. 100 USD) via PayPal
Featured on pixiv's official social media accounts (X, Facebook, Instagram)
pixiv Art Debut Award (1 winner)
Prize: 10,000 JPY (approx. 65 USD) via PayPal

*Regarding the Awards of Excellence, the language you have set on your pixiv profile determines which language division your entry will be evaluated in.
*Receiving the monthly award doesn't alter the status of your submission – it remains a standard pixiv post. Furthermore, winning the award has no impact on the ownership rights of your artwork.
Results announcement:
Results are scheduled to be announced towards the end of the following month of each contest month.

Selection process:
Winners will be selected after a rigorous evaluation by the pixiv PR team.
